Our mission is to create a nurturing and supportive environment for each student to build a lifelong practice starting from the ground level while working systematically and therapeutically to strengthen understanding and deepen the body mind connection and coordination.
Ujjain Yoga Life Society is focused on using yoga as a therapeutic tool to improve every student’s structural strength, flexibility, balance, stability, and an over all feeling of good health, making yoga accessible for every body. Teaching in the hatha yoga tradition Ujjain Yoga Life Society is dedicated to small classes in order to maximize each one’s experience in class.  The dedicated teaching staff works together, discussing the needs of individual students, and collaborating on a course curriculum to ensure each student receives the same information and support, necessary to progress at his/her own pace. True progress in the practice of yoga requires prolonged study at each level.  We strongly encourage all our students to practice Beginner’s Mind and continuously go back to the foundation classes for refinement and rediscovery.

We are proud to offer a full schedule of yoga classes focusing on structural alignment, as well as smaller specialized therapeutic yoga classes, and a one of a kind introductory series.  These classes and series are supported by workshops, which allow the student to delve deeper into their practice. Ujjain Yoga Life Society also works with specific groups of clients offering yoga classes for Physical- Mental- Emotional Disorders, Obesity, athletes, expecting mothers, and many others.
Each class is carefully sequenced with an emphasis on fundamental alignment intended to build strength and stamina, improve muscle tone, balance and flexibility, relieve stress, build confidence and heal injuries. Classes are comprised of different asanas (poses), including standing poses, sitting poses, supine poses and inverted poses.  You will be oriented to the fundamental shapes and actions of the postures and repeat them, so that you learn to know them.  Gradually, you will learn more about the poses and more about yourself.
